Support

Clear steps for connecting a Shopify store, keeping catalogue products in sync, and getting help when something is not working.

Connect a Shopify store

  1. 1Start on Shopify. During testing, use Install app in the Shopify Dev Dashboard. After approval, open the Memorabilia Management listing in the Shopify App Store.
  2. 2Choose the store and select Install or Open app. The app immediately sends you through Shopify OAuth before showing any portal setup.
  3. 3Review the requested catalogue permissions in Shopify and approve access.
  4. 4When Shopify returns you to Memorabilia Management, sign in or create an account if prompted. An admin or operations account attaches the authorised shop to that workspace automatically.
  5. 5Open Settings → Shops, load publications, select the default publication and save the channel settings.
  6. 6Run Test connection and confirm that the installation and webhooks are healthy.

To reconnect or reinstall, start from Shopify again. Opening the app in Shopify Admin begins a new OAuth request and replaces revoked access only after Shopify approves it. Do not reuse an old callback or portal tab.

Never send or paste passwords, access tokens, API secrets, recovery codes or payment details when asking for help. The portal does not need merchant tokens entered manually.

Understand the connection state

Open Shopify Ops or Settings → Shops to see the current state.

Installation needed

Start from Shopify: use the Dev Dashboard install action during testing, or the app’s Shopify App Store listing after approval.

Verified, webhooks pending

The store connection works, but event delivery still needs attention. Select Refresh webhooks, then run Test connection.

Publication needed

Load publications, choose the default publication used for new products, then save the channel settings.

Missing permissions

Ask a Shopify store owner to open the app from Apps in Shopify Admin and approve fresh access.

Connected

The installation, required permissions and webhooks are ready.

If Refresh webhooks or Test connection continues to fail, copy the visible error message and include it in your support request. Do not include browser cookies, authorization headers or credentials.

Products, inventory and Shopify Admin

Products

  • Products must be ready or listed before they can be published.
  • Use Publish to Shopify for a new listing.
  • Use Sync Listing after changing product details.
  • Use Unpublish when a listing should be removed from sale.

Inventory

  • Check Shopify Ops → Products for the last sync and available quantity.
  • Review listings marked pending or sync error.
  • Run Check inventory from the maintenance actions if quantities do not match.

Orders and customers

  • Manage Shopify orders and customer records in Shopify Admin.
  • Keep refunds, fulfilment and tracking in Shopify unless approved access is shown in the portal.
  • The catalogue-only portal does not display Shopify buyer details or order totals.
  • Portal-managed and eBay customer workflows are separate and remain available where configured.

Ask for help

Email harry@hdsapp.co.uk. This is the monitored support address shown on the Shopify App Store listing. A complete report helps us trace the correct workspace without requesting sensitive credentials.

Include:

  • Your workspace name and permanent .myshopify.com store domain.
  • The page, button or action you were using.
  • The exact error message and when it happened, including your timezone.
  • The affected SKU, product reference or connection state.
  • A screenshot with customer details, credentials and browser developer tools removed.

Urgent security issue

Mark the request urgent if you suspect unauthorized access, data exposure or harmful storefront changes. Stop the affected workflow, record what happened and contact us through the official support channel. Do not email secrets as evidence.

Privacy or data request

State whether the request is for access, correction or deletion, identify the related store and explain your authority to make the request. Avoid sending customer records unless we ask for them through a secure route.
